Wedang Ronde, Legendary Culinary Body Warmers in the Rainy Season to Maintain Body Fitness

Wedang ronde is a typical Indonesian drink. This drink is perfect for consumption when the rainy season hits. Usually, this wedang ronde is served with a dough composition of glutinous rice flour filled with mashed sweet peanuts and drizzled with ginger sugar sauce.



The sweet and warm taste that comes from ginger makes wedang ronde nourish the body. Please note, wedang ronde itself comes from the Javanese language which means drink and ronde (round dough made from glutinous rice flour). But over time, ronde was not always made with glutinous rice flour but also rice flour.
